Man arrested over alleged Official Secrets Act breach

A man was arrested by Metropolitan Police officers in Plymouth, Devon, on suspicion of breaching the Official Secrets Act.

He was taken to Charles Cross Police Station in Plymouth, where he remains.

As well as being held under the Official Secrets Act 1911, he was also arrested on suspicion of theft.

It is believed the man, 31, is being investigated by Scotland Yard's Counter Terrorism Command, although the alleged offences are not terrorist-related.
