Raoul East in court on Seaton DJ stabbing charge

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a DJ was stabbed.

Raoul East, 37, is accused of trying to kill Andrew Hinds, who is in his 40s, at the Vault bar in Seaton, Devon, in the early hours of Sunday.

Mr East, of Seaton, was remanded in custody by Exeter magistrates to appear later this month at Exeter Crown Court.

Mr Hinds is being treated at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
