A second man has been charged with murder by police investigating the death of a man in Exeter.

Stephen Crook, 43, was found in a house in Alphington Road last Thursday evening. He died later in hospital.

Steven Webster, 40, from East Street, Okehampton, appeared before city magistrates accused of murder.

He and a 25-year-old man from Coventry, who is also charged with Mr Crook's murder, are due to appear at the city's Crown Court next month.

Two other males arrested in connection with the death, aged 17 and 39, were still in police custody, police said.
