Boy convicted of summer camp rape while aged 14

A teenage boy has been found guilty of raping a girl at a summer activity camp and of assaulting a second girl while on bail for the first offence.

During the first attack, the boy, who was 14 at the time, dragged his teenage victim to the ground and stifled her screams by putting his hand over her mouth, Plymouth Crown Court heard.

He also assaulted an 11-year-old last December while on bail for the rape.

The boy, now 15 and from the city, was convicted of three charges.

He cannot be named for legal reasons but was remanded in custody to be sentenced at a later date for raping and sexually assaulting his first victim, and sexually assaulting the second girl.
