Holsworthy house fires treated as suspicious

Published

Two fires which spread to houses in a Devon town are being treated as suspicious and may be linked, police say.

A fire on 20 March in Quarry Park, Holsworthy started in a shed but spread to a house which was empty at the time.

The second fire, on Thursday at about 05:45 GMT, started in a caravan in Chapel Street but spread to a property which had to be evacuated.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.

The Devon and Cornwall force said several vehicles were "substantially damaged" in the second fire but no one was injured in either incident.
