Four 'linked' arson attacks investigated in Torquay

Four arson attacks that happened overnight in Torquay are believed to be linked, Devon and Cornwall Police has said.

A car, shed, wheelie bin and a lean-to attached to a house were set on fire.

All were started between 01:00 and 03:45 GMT in the Ellacombe area of the town.

No-one was injured in any of the fires. A police spokeswoman said arson attacks were unusual in the area and was appealing for witnesses.

The fires were started in Mount Pleasant Road, Braddons Hill Road West, Ash Hill Road and Windsor Road.
