A man's body has been recovered from a fishing boat that sank off the south Devon coast.

Skipper Geoff Ingram, 51, from Exmouth, has been missing since the Sarah Jayne capsized on 11 September.

Two other sailors from Mr Ingram's 15m (49ft) beam trawler were rescued after it sank off Berry Head in south Devon.

The identity of the body was not yet been revealed by police. The coroner has been made aware and will open an inquest into the circumstances.

Police said divers brought the body to the surface at about 14:00 BST on Thursday.

The family of the missing man have been informed.

The incident is being investigated by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch.
