Police plea for assaulted man with baby in Plymouth

A man who was assaulted while carrying a new born baby in Plymouth has been asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.

It happened on the Royal Parade outside the Brass Monkey pub, on Saturday, at about 16:40 GMT.

Following the assault, police said the man left the area with the baby.

Police want to check both were not injured during the incident. They believe the baby was in a sling inside his jacket.

The man is described as being in his late 20s and wearing a blue jacket.
