A fraud investigation into alleged criminal activity at a Plymouth nightclub has resulted in its closure.

Following evidence from Devon and Cornwall Police, Plymouth City Council revoked Divas licence, which had been temporarily suspended in December.

Councillors were also presented with evidence of "systematic and flagrant" breaches of the Union Street club's licence conditions, police said.

The club, which has contested the evidence, has 21 days to appeal.
