Charles Rennie named as man killed in Tavistock crash

An 84-year-old man who died after the car he was in crashed into a post in Devon has been identified by police.

Charles Rennie, from Gunnislake, Cornwall, was a passenger in a Honda Jazz being driven by a local man.

The vehicle struck a stationary vehicle before hitting a stone post in Pixon Lane, Tavistock, on Saturday.

Both men were taken to Derriford Hospital where the 84-year-old died. In a statement Mr Rennie's family said he would be "deeply missed".
