Murder investigation in Teignmouth after man's death

A murder investigation is being carried out by police after a man died from injures he sustained during an incident in south Devon.

Police services were called to reports of disorder at a property in Kingsway, Teignmouth, at about 1230 GMT.

A man was treated at the scene by paramedics for a chest injury and was taken to hospital but later died.

A 26-year-old man from Newton Abbot was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody, police said.

The property has been cordoned off and is being treated as a crime scene.

The dead man's next of kin were being contacted, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

A second man is being sought by officers investigating the case.
