Second man charged with Newton Abbot attempted murder


A 57-year-old London man has been charged with the attempted murder of a 41-year-old man in Devon.

The charged man appeared before Torbay magistrates on Saturday and was remanded in custody over the attack in Newton Abbot.

He is due to attend Exeter Crown Court on 3 December along with a 39-year-old London man also charged with attempted murder following the attack in October.

Another man from London, a 21-year-old, was also arrested.

He was held on suspicion of attempted murder and is on bail until 14 December.

The victim has been discharged from hospital but is still receiving treatment for his injuries, a police spokesperson said.
