London man charged with attempted murder in Devon


A London man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident in which a man suffered serious injuries.

The 41-year-old victim, who was injured in Newton Abbot, Devon, on 27 October, is still recovering in hospital.

A 39-year-old man appeared at Torbay magistrates and was remanded in custody to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 3 December.

A 21-year-old London man, who was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, is on bail until 14 December.

A third man, in his late 50s and also from London, has been arrested and is due to be questioned.
