Police trace parents of a baby and girl found in Devon

The parents of a two-year-old girl and a 10-month-old baby boy who were found abandoned in Plymouth have been traced.

Police were trying to find the children's parents after the youngsters were discovered near Western Approach in the city centre on Thursday evening.

The children were initially placed in care under a Police Protection Order but are now being cared for by family.

Police said that the parents had been contacted and had agreed to voluntarily meet with them in the next few days.
