Russian woman, 21, dies from M5 Devon crash injuries

A woman critically injured in an eight-vehicle pile-up on the M5 in Devon has died in hospital.

Oxana Tukova, a 21-year-old Russian national, was one of seven people hurt in the crash on the northbound carriageway of the motorway near Cullompton on Thursday 26 August.

Cars and debris were strewn along the carriageway over some 300m.

Devon and Cornwall Police said Ms Tukova died from her injuries in Plymouth's Derriford Hospital.

None of the other casualties was seriously injured.

Officers have renewed their appeal for witnesses who may have information about the crash, which happened at about 2100 BST.
