Driver held over man's Overseal crash death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after another man was thrown from a car and died.

On Friday night, a Vauxhall Corsa left the A444 Burton Road, in Overseal, rolled several times and ended up in a garden, Derbyshire police said.

A 21-year-old man from Branston suffered fatal injuries in the crash and died.

The driver, a 21-year-old man from Stapenhill, remains in police custody.

The road was closed until about 05:00 GMT and police have asked anyone who may have seen the crash to contact them.
