The body of a man has been found at a house in Derbyshire following a call to the police by concerned neighbours.

Officers found the body of the 59-year-old man at the semi-detached property on Marylebone Crescent, Mackworth, on Thursday night.

Specialist teams have attended the scene and a dedicated incident room has been set up at St Mary's Wharf police station.

A murder inquiry has begun and police have appealed for any witnesses.

Neighbours said the tenant who lived at the house had been a quiet man but the area had been a "hive of activity" since police arrived.
