Man in court over Chesterfield stabbing death

A man has appeared in court charged with killing a man who was stabbed in the chest.

Darren Broadbent's body was discovered at Thorntree Court, Grangewood, Chesterfield, on Monday.

Jaiden Browne-Evans, 18, appeared before magistrates in the town on Friday charged with murder.

Susan Shaw, 44, from Chesterfield, also appeared and is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. Both were remanded in custody.

Mr Browne-Evans, of Beaver Hill Road, Sheffield, is due before Nottingham Crown Court on Monday.

Mrs Shaw will appear at Derby Crown Court on 2 September.

A 15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of murder is still in custody, Derbyshire Police said.

A 36-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on bail.
