A man has been jailed for three years for making fireworks at his flat, forcing the evacuation of 200 people.

Glenn Robinson, 55, from Belvoir Crescent in Newhall, Derbyshire, was found to have several "potentially volatile" substances in his home.

The discovery led to six controlled explosions being carried out by the bomb disposal squad on 26 July.

He admitted making and possessing explosives and possession of a class B drug at Derby Crown Court.

Police had been called to Robinson's home after neighbours raised concerns and a 100m cordon was placed around the area.
