Two teenagers have been arrested after an armed robbery at a convenience store.

Three masked men used a gun to threaten and assault a shop assistant at the Goodcheers shop in Derby on Saturday before escaping with alcohol and hundreds of pounds from the till.

Two men, aged 19 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery in Woolrych Street on Tuesday night.

Both remain in custody and are being questioned later, police said.

The worker suffered a head wound and was left shaken during the raid, which happened at about 18:45 GMT in Arthur Street.

Police said they are trying to trace a third man involved.
