Derby shopkeeper attacked in armed robbery

A shopkeeper has been assaulted during an armed robbery in Derby,

Three men entered the Good Cheers Convenience Store on Arthur Street at about 18:45 GMT on Saturday with a possible handgun, police said.

After threatening the victim, he was forced to hand over money from the till. No details of his condition have been released.

Officers said the suspects, who had their faces covered, left towards Edward Street.

Detectives said they believed a number of people were in the street at the time and have appealed for them to come forward.
