Man charged over Derby street stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Derby.

The 37-year-old, who is accused of wounding with intent, will appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The victim was found near the Rosehill Business Centre, Normanton Road, at about 23:00 BST on Tuesday.

He was taken to Royal Derby Hospital with a stab wound to the stomach and is said to be in a critical condition.

Three women and a teenage girl arrested in connection with the stabbing have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
