A yellow ice warning is in place in Derbyshire, with up to 2cm of fresh snow expected later.

Police and the Highways Agency are advising drivers to take extra care and to be prepared for the weather conditions.

East Midlands Airport said its services were back to normal after flights were suspended on Friday night due to heavy snow.

East Midlands Trains said a near-normal service was running.

The weather has caused a few delays on Saturday morning, it added.

Up to 10cm (4in) of snow fell in parts of the region on Friday and 38 schools were closed.

Hazardous driving conditions were also reported on the A54 and A537 in Buxton, and slow traffic on the A38 in Derby.

The match between Derby County and Nottingham Forest was due to go ahead, despite the weather.

Derby County chief executive Sam Rush told BBC Derby that unless weather conditions got worse the game would kick-off as scheduled at 13:00 GMT.
