Two hurt in hit and run incidents in Derby

A man and a teenage boy have been hurt in two separate hit and run incidents in Derby.

At about 2140 GMT on Saturday, a 39-year-old was struck by a green Citroen Saxo on Hampshire Road in Chaddesden.

The car was abandoned nearby. The victim is in hospital being treated for serious injuries.

Earlier in the day, a 14-year-old suffered a broken leg after being hit by a black car in Barley Street. Police have appealed for witnesses.
