Candles in Christmas remembrance in Bramcote
People who have lost loved ones have been given a chance to light a candle in their memory in the lead-up to the festive holidays.
A special Christmas service of remembrance was taking place at Bramcote Crematorium on Sunday for bereaved families.
The event has been jointly organised by Erewash and Broxtowe borough councils.
Councillor Chris Corbett, the leader of Erewash Borough Council, said it had proved popular over the years.
He said: "We're holding it because people like it. It's something we've done for several years now, and we find that it provides great comfort to a lot of people who've perhaps lost somebody in the last year."
