Elderly residents have been hit by a series of burglaries in Chesterfield, police said.
Two men broke into the bungalow of an 84-year-old woman through the front door and grabbed her handbag which contained cash on 11 November.
The men were both described as white and in their 20s, a Derbyshire police spokesman said.
The bungalow of an 87-year-old woman was targeted nearby shortly after midnight the next day.
The woman woke up to find two young men with torches in her bedroom who grabbed her handbag and a jewellery box containing pearl earrings, a necklace and bracelet.
In the final break-in, an 88-year-old woman was woken by two men just before midnight on 15 November. She pressed an alarm and the men left without taking anything.
Officers are investigating are trying to determine if the burglaries are linked.
