Heage woman denies pet cremation fraud


A Derbyshire woman who ran a pet cremation service has appeared in court to deny fraud charges.

Emma Bent, 35, of High Edge Drive, Heage, denied failing to cremate six pets and claiming payment for her services.

The incidents are alleged to have happened between 3 and 18 August last year.

The hearing at Derby Crown Court was adjourned until 17 January, when Ms Bent will face trial.
