Patrols tackle Clay Cross Halloween trouble

Patrols to target anti-social behaviour in Derbyshire during a traditional problem period have seen one youth arrested and another cautioned.

Police and youth workers walked around Clay Cross on the two weekends during the Halloween and Bonfire Night period.

Officers attended 16 reports of nuisance behaviour including one youth being arrested for being drunk and disorderly and criminal damage.

Another was cautioned after being found to be in possession of cannabis.

Groups of up to 20 youths were spoken to in Grassmoor and North Wingfield Skate Park about their behaviour and officers also seized several bottles of alcohol.

Those found to have been drinking alcohol were escorted home.
