Police and road safety officials stopped vehicles in High Street, Tibshelf, on Thursday.

Offences included 50 people not wearing a seatbelt, 11 drivers with tyre defects and six motorists for using a mobile phone.

Fifteen vehicles were declared unsafe and had prohibition notices served on the owners.
