Elderly pedestrian killed in crash on A69 near Carlisle

A 92-year-old woman died when she was hit by a motorcycle in Cumbria.

The crash happened at about 17:00 GMT on Wednesday on the A69 at Aglionby near Carlisle.

Eva Rigg, of Aglionby, died at the scene of the crash, Cumbria Police said.

The motorcyclist, a 65-year-old man from Carlisle, was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary and later discharged.
