Melinda Korosi death: Miklos Verebes denies murder

A man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a woman in her Carlisle home.

Melinda Korosi, originally from Hungary, was found critically injured at the property in Orton Road on 15 September, and later died.

Miklos Verebes denied murder and also pleaded not guilty to 12 counts of rape between January 2013 and July 2016.

The judge at Carlisle Crown Court remanded the 29-year-old, of no fixed address, in custody to go on trial in February.

Ms Korosi suffered injuries to her head and neck.
