Child abuser Charles Peyman jailed after abusing child 'for months'
A man who carried out a series of sex attacks over many months against a teenage girl has been jailed.
Charles Peyman, 32, from Hull, admitted seven counts of sexual activity with a child and one charge of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
His offences took place in Penrith when he lived in Eden Valley, Carlisle Crown Court heard.
Peyman, now living in Sproatley and the father of a young son, was described as being "ashamed" of what he had done.
The farm worker's distressed victim was left sleep-disturbed and suffering from anxiety and flashbacks, the court heard.
Peyman was jailed for six years and eight months, a sexual harm prevention order was imposed for an indefinite period and he must sign the sex offenders' register, also indefinitely.
