Man charged with Cumbria flood fund fraud

A man has been charged with making fraudulent applications for cash to Cumbria's flood recovery fund.

Levi Dixon, 27, of Broad Ing Crescent in Kendal, has also been charged with drugs offences and attempted robbery.

Cumbria Police said Mr Dixon had been charged with three counts of fraud relating to the flood recovery fund.

The armed robbery charge relates to an alleged incident at Castle Stores in Kendal. He is due to appear at Barrow Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
