Carlisle woman dies after three-vehicle crash on A66

A woman has died following a three-vehicle collision in Cumbria.

The crash, which involved a Nissan Almera, an Audi A3 and a large goods vehicle, happened at about 18:45 GMT on Sunday on the A66 at Brough, Kirkby Stephen.

The driver of the Nissan, a 20-year-old woman from Carlisle, died in the incident.

Cumbria Police said the extent of injuries to the other drivers involved are not yet known.
