A Cumbria city has been chosen to host this year's Radio 1 Big Weekend with headline acts including Lady Gaga and the Foo Fighters.
The two-day festival, Europe's biggest free ticketed event, will take place at Carlisle Airfield on 14 and 15 May.
Bruno Mars, the Black Eyed Peas, Plan B and Tinie Tempah will also perform.
Some 40,000 tickets will be made available, with priority given to local people, and it is hoped it will provide a boost to the local economy.
The announcement was made by DJ Scott Mills in front of pupils at Trinity School in Carlisle on Wednesday.
Councillor Mike Mitchelson, Leader of Carlisle City Council, described it as "fantastic news".
"The event also provides a great opportunity to promote how great Carlisle is to the rest of the UK and will provide a boost to our local tourism economy," he said.
When the Big Weekend was held in Bangor in September 2010, it brought an estimated £3.5m into the local economy.
