Flood defences put up in Appleby as River Eden rises
Flood defences have been put up in Appleby as levels on the River Eden continue to rise after heavy rainfall.
On Saturday the Environment Agency said more rain was expected overnight.
Teams from the agency have been removing debris from Cumbria's rising rivers to try to keep them flowing freely.
The agency said staff would be closely watching low lying areas in Kendal and Burnside on the River Kent and Keswick on the River Greta.
On Saturday afternoon the Environment Agency issued 14 flood alerts in Cumbria and one flood warning for Keswick Campsite.
