Celebrity wooden hearts on show before hospice auction
Wooden hearts designed by celebrities are going on display before being sold to raise funds for a Cumbrian hospice.
Eden Valley Hospice sent out more than 250 of the hearts and received more than 200 back, including from Joanna Lumley and Paula Radcliffe.
One created by artist Damien Hirst will be auctioned online on eBay.
The hearts go on display at Rheged, near Penrith, on Friday for a week. It is hoped the hearts will raise about £20,000 for the hospice.
It is hoped the Hirst heart will fetch more than £10,000.
All the hearts, except the Hirst one, will be sold for £145 but buyers will only find out whose they have bought afterwards.
