A woman whose husband has been charged with her murder has been described as "beautiful" and "funny" by her son.

Patricia McIntosh, known as Trish, 56, was found by police with head injuries at her home in Knightcote on 15 November.

Her husband, pilot Andrew McIntosh, 54, of Woolscott, Warwickshire, has been charged with her murder.

Mrs McIntosh's son Stephen Clemons said she was "the greatest mum I could ever have wished for".

In a statement Mr Clemons said: "She was a beautiful, smart, hard-working, funny, caring person. She meant everything to us; she was our rock."

He added: "This has been a huge shock for our family and left a hole in our lives."

Mr McIntosh appeared at Warwickshire Justice Centre on Tuesday where he was remanded in custody until a plea hearing on 19 January.
