Exhall man charged over death hoax calls

A man has been charged after hoax calls were made to families saying a relative had died.

People in Bedworth were told they should go to George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, in eight calls on 6 and 7 June.

Ashley Dodd, of Hayes Lane, Exhall, has been charged with eight offences under the Malicious Communications Act.

Mr Dodd, 28, has been released on bail to appear at Leamington Magistrates' Court on 1 September.
