A third person has been rebailed over the disappearance of a Coventry mother more than 20 years ago.

The 49-year-old man was arrested earlier on suspicion of the abduction and murder of 18-year-old Nicola Payne.

A 50-year-old man facing the same charges and a 51-year-old woman held on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, were previously bailed.

Ms Payne, who had a seven-month-old baby at the time, was last seen on 14 December 1991 in the Henley Green area.

The 49-year-old man had previously been on bail in connection with the inquiry.

The last reported sighting of Ms Payne was of her leaving Winston Avenue as she made her way back from her boyfriend's family home.

No-one has ever been charged over her disappearance.
