Penzance crash leaves three in hospital
Three people are in hospital with serious injuries after a road accident near Penzance on Saturday.
Police said a Honda Civic strayed on to the opposite carriageway of Penzance Road in Pendeen and collided with a Peugeot 106 at about 17:00 BST.
The 49-year old Honda driver and 42-year old Peugeot driver are at Derriford Hospital.
A 69-year old passenger who was in the Peugeot was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it was not yet known why the Honda strayed on to the other carriageway.
A spokesman said: "A two vehicle road traffic collision occurred on Penzance Road, Pendeen, Penzance approximately one mile from Springs Farm.
"The weather and road conditions were dry and fine."
