'Wonderful' John Sanderson killed in fatal A38 tree crash

A student who was killed after his car hit a tree has been described as a "wonderful, fun and handsome" man.

John Sanderson, 22, from Liskeard, in Cornwall, died after his BMW left the A38 near Buckfastleigh, in Devon, during heavy rain on New Year's Day.

His family said: "Our wonderful boy has left us with such memories.

"Brave, handsome, fun, we will never, never forget him and the joy he brought into our lives." Emergency services said he died at the scene of the crash.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
