Motorcyclist killed in car crash on Cornwall's A39

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision with a car in Cornwall.

The crash happened in the Allen Valley near Camelford on the A39 at about 10:45 BST. The 58-year-old man from the Redruth area was pronounced dead at the scene.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the A39 - one of Cornwall's main roads - would be "closed for some time" and advised motorists to avoid the area.

The closure is affecting the section between Camelford and Wadebridge.
