Woman's body recovered from sea off Newquay

A woman's body has been recovered from the sea off Newquay, in Cornwall.

The body was found close to Fistral Beach and taken to Newquay Harbour by a lifeboat, just after 17:00 GMT on Saturday.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the woman, who is believed to have been aged in her 50s and from the South West, has not yet been identified.

The force added it was not looking for anyone else in connection with her death.
