The bodies of a husband and wife have been found in a bungalow in a Cornish beauty spot.

The couple, aged in their 40s, were found by police at Polwithen Drive in Carbis Bay, St Ives, at about 11:35 BST on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to the inquiry.

The couple, who have not been named, were found after "concern was expressed for one of the occupants".

Officers from the Devon and Cornwall force's Major Crime Investigation Team are continuing with their enquiries.

Specially-trained family liaison officers have been deployed to provide support to the family.
