Fatal Newquay 'hit and run': Penzance man bailed

A man from Penzance arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in a suspected hit and run has been released on bail.

A 25-year-old man was critically injured in the incident near the Godolphin Arms on Henver Road in Newquay at about 02:00 Sunday.

He was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro but died later from his injuries.

The arrested man was released on police bail until 18 November.
