Alec Robertson quits Cornwall Council Conservative group
The former leader of Cornwall Council has stepped down as leader of the authority's Conservative group.
Alec Robertson was removed as leader of the Tory-Independent-led authority in October after a vote of no confidence.
The vote was held over the decision to push ahead with plans to part-privatise some key council services.
He stepped down at a group meeting on Friday night and has been replaced by Truro councillor Fiona Ferguson.
Ms Ferguson is one of the council's new cabinet members appointed by current leader Jim Currie.
