Cornish residents are being invited to give their views on plans for "smarter pricing" at car parks in the county.

The Cornwall Council plans recommended a mix of lower charges for one hour stays, lower or free evening rates or reduced winter rates in some towns.

But it added that some charges would be increased across Cornwall to raise overall income by 3%.

The plans, which aim to promote town centres, can be seen for a month at One Stop Shops and on the council website.

The plans also propose blue badge holders, who currently pay for parking, will benefit from an additional hour.

It is hoped changes to the parking will be implemented next spring.
