Cornwall farm double murder accused plead not guilty

Two people have denied murdering two men and burying their bodies in a van in a Cornish field.

Thomas Haigh, 26, of no fixed address and Ross Stone, 26, of Trenance Downs, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Brett Flournoy and David Griffiths.

The victims' bodies were found buried in a burnt-out van at Trenance Downs, near St Austell, in July.

Mr Haigh and Mr Stone were remanded in custody at Truro Crown Court and a trial date has been set for January.

Mr Griffiths, originally from Plymouth, Devon, but who was living in Bracknell, Berkshire, and Mr Flournoy, from the Wirral, Merseyside, were last seen on Thursday 16 June after travelling to Cornwall.

Their bodies were found a month later in the remains of a burnt-out Citroen Berlingo van which had been buried on land at Trenance Downs.
