BBC Introducing: The Dolphins Fly
The Dolphins Fly originally formed back in 2000.
The band members are: Billy Bowen on drums, Dave Marney on guitar, keys, and vocals, Mart Marney on guitar and vocals, and Simon Smith on bass.
The band left Cornwall briefly in 2001 having landed a record deal which took them up the motorway to London.
Eighteen months later the Marney brothers returned to Cornwall to concentrate on songwriting.
The Dolphins Fly spent time writing more than 50 songs.
The band re-emerged in 2008 with the Marney brothers at the helm with a new line up.
The Dolphins Fly members describe their sound as a mixture of warm harmonies, layered guitars with infectious grooves and soaring tunes.
On Friday 27 May 2011 the brothers popped in to the BBC Radio Cornwall studios to perform on the David White show including an exclusive never heard song, written just days before the acoustic session. Click on the audio link to hear "Machine".
